Ad-measurement company iSpot.tv has announced that it has raised $21.9 million in a Series B funding round. The financing was led by Insight Venture Partners and also saw participation from investors Madrona Venture Group.

The company claimed that it was aware about precisely when and where national TV ads were running. This helped them efficiently determine when those ads drove customers to respond using Twitter Facebook, YouTube and search. iSpot.tv has also built an extensive online library which houses over 100,000 ads.

Founder and CEO Sean Muller was cited in this release as saying, “We focus on the areas we bring into the marketplace that no one else can provide — those two things are real-time data around TV advertising and then the digital performance data. How do our clients use this? For competitive intelligence in real-time, ad effectiveness in real-time, media planning in real-time.” However, he also explained that ad agencies and brands often uses iSpot.tv in combination with other attribution and analytics products.

The company has now raised over $27.5 million in total funding.
