Mobile Video Autoplay Launched By Sizmek

Open ad management company for multiscreen campaigns, Sizmek, recently announced the launch of their web-based rich media authoring tool called Video Autoplay on Mobile in Ad Builder for HTML5.  Sizmek’s Autoplay enables advertisers to create soundless teasers for mobile video advertisements, which instantly play when the ad loads without requiring any user interaction.

This new platform enhancement helps marketers deliver engaging and pertinent mobile video content automatically to mobile devices, without being intrusive.

Sizmek’s Autoplay’s advantages include higher engagement, effortless activation (the feature is easily created in the Ad Builder tool without having to create separate videos), and audience respect (videos begin silently without user interaction).

Vice President, Product Marketing, Sizmek, Alex White, says, “While video on mobile has increased around 300% over the last 6 months alone. Marketers have been missing out on a huge opportunity to leverage it more effectively to connect with mobile audiences. Autoplay helps solve the problem by enticing mobile users to engage with a video, but in a respectful way, empowering advertisers and audiences alike.”

Speaking on Sizmek’s Autoplay, Pete Hotchkiss, Partner at Substance Global, said, “It goes without saying that for our film and TV clients ensuring we maximize consumption of video-based content is paramount. To date, limitations placed on video playback led to frustrating metrics and less than ideal ROI from allocated media spend. This new Autoplay feature from Sizmek perfectly addresses these key challenges.”

Media Director of ThinkJam, Rory Hallam, commented, “This is a great feature, especially for entertainment content people like to see. By unobtrusively enticing users to watch a video ad, the Sizmek autoplay feature addresses a challenge facing mobile marketers seeking more ROI from mobile ad campaigns.”
