Rubicon Project-Inmobi Tie-Up for Programmatic Purchase of Video and Native Inventory on Mobile

Rubicon Project – global tech providers leading the automation advertising space; and InMobi – a leading global platform for mobile advertising; recently announced video format and mobile native availability on the InMobi Exchange.

Powered by Rubicon Project, InMobi Exchange supports contemporary, innovative advertising formats. It provides video ad and native experiences to programmatic buyers across 7,000-plus mobile apps. This has brought to market a set of varied, expansive, and engaging mobile advertisement experiences.

According to InMobi, video and native ads perform two to five times better compared to standard mobile ad units, delivering considerably higher value to both, app developers and buyers.

As the industry increasingly adopts Video Ad Serving Template “VAST” for video advertisements, and IAB’s Open RTB 2.3 standard for native advertisements, it translates to higher efficiency in programmatic purchasing of native and video inventory. Publishers and advertisers are able to offer mobile ads more relevant to the user context, and customers benefit from these mobile-friendly ads too.

Head of Mobile, Rubicon Project, Joe Prusz, says, “We’re thrilled to power the InMobi Exchange, and to bring the unrivalled engagement of mobile native and mobile video formats to media buyers everywhere. Leveraging our industry-leading advertising automation platform, we’re bringing unparalleled reach, precision and scale to these high-impact formats.”

According to Senior Vice President, Global Alliances & Programmatic – InMobi, Anne Frisbie, “This advances our vision for a ‘no banner’ mobile advertising world. With 40% of the InMobi Exchange now powered by these superior native and video ad formats, and growing, we are excited that over 20 major buying platforms have already extended their support.”

Currently, numerous buying platforms on the InMobi Exchange support native ad formats, including Adelphic, Bidtellect, Lifestreet, Lyfe, Powerlinks, etc. Each has upgraded to OpenRTB 2.3.
