Animoto Joins Facebook’s FbStart as Technology Partner

Animoto, a leading online video creation platform, has announced that it has partnered with FbStart, a Facebook program which offers mobile startups and app developers a reliable technological platform to grow their businesses on a global scale. The company, whose service offerings are based on the belief that creating online videos should be effortless, affordable and easily accessible, will be attending an FbStart event to be held in San Francisco. This event is one of the largest FbStart events to date and will host over 400 mobile developers. The program will enable participants to collaborate with one another and learn more about the program, which offers a package of tools and services to help developers design and grow mobile apps. It also provides mentorship opportunities all the year round, so that developers can form direct connections with the Facebook team, as also an exclusive community of global startups.

Brad Jefferson, CEO, Animoto, said, “Over the past year, we’ve seen the importance of video marketing rise. Video views have increased exponentially across social and consumers have come to expect video from companies and brands. Animoto offers a quick and easy solution for startups that are strapped for time and don’t have the budget to outsource video creation. We’re thrilled to become an official partner of FbStart and help startups tell their stories in compelling ways through video.”

A recent study by Animoto reveals that video content has a higher recall value in the minds of consumers than most other forms of content, and goes on to add that four times as many consumers prefer product videos to any form of written content. This makes video creation one of the most essential tools in the arsenal of the digital marketer. The study also stated that the number of videos shared is increasing, with a whopping 94 percent increase in videos posted on Facebook in the last year.
