Marketing Automation Platforms See an Increase in Popularity

Marketing automation seems to be expanding its reign. Recent reports from the TrustRadius claim that searches for the term “marketing automation” have soared by a whooping 50% since last year and observed a 25% increase in page views for its products.

As far as the most-evaluated platform goes, in quarter 3, Hubspot was in the lead as Marketo, Pardot (Salesforce), Act-On, Eloqua (Oracle) and ExactTarget (Salesforce) followed. Others who made it to the top 10 include Infusionsoft, Silverpop, IBM Unica and Adobe Neolane.

According to TrustRadius, with 75% of its reviews acquired from firms with lesser than 50 employees, Hubspot seems to be relatively strong among SMBs. On the other hand it has been noticed that Marketo received 55% of its reviews form organizations that had boasted of 51-500 employee manpower.

Though these reviews do not account for any particular scientific credibility, TrustRadius goes on to mention that “there’s rarely a one-size-fits-all right choice for every company.” Finally it concluded that “one key factor that distinguishes these products is for what size of company they are optimized.”
