Nielsen, a global performance management company, recently announced that it has signed a licensing deal with RPA or its Local Buyer Reach, the company’s service that connects industry-grade local television ratings by Nielsen with auto registrations, consumer transaction and Scarborough’s local consumer insights, in order to generate a complete view of consumption habits of the local TV audiences.
Claire Browne, Vice President and Director, media insights, research and accountability at RPA, said, “Maximizing the ROI on our client’s advertising budgets is very important to our agency. Using Nielsen’s Local Buyer Reach, we will be able to enhance our television planning and buying to ensure we deliver more consumers who are ready to buy our client’s products and services.
The solution will be another tool that the RPA uses to make its media buying and planning stronger, by providing a holistic picture of customer view as well as buying behavior in over 40 key ad categories like grocery, automotive, restaurant, retail, and telecommunications.
Nielsen provides this tool to more than 200 designated market areas with reporting capability at the daypart, program and station levels. In addition, the service also provides the buying frequency as well as the spending in major customer categories.
