Google has launched the AdWords app for iOS in order to enable users to monitor the performance of their ad campaigns through iPhones and iPads. The application supports iOS 7 or higher, and can be downloaded from Apple’s app stores for free.
Jerry Dischler, Vice President, Product Management, Google AdWords, said in a release, “People are saying that mobile is all about apps, but we think mobile is about the always-on consumer.” He has insisted earlier that the time for online advertising is more suitable now than ever before, saying that the number of searches queries Google receives through mobile devices have increased overwhelmingly. As Google has already launched AdWords for Android, the launch of the iOS version therefore signifies the company’s effort to make its offerings available across platforms.
AdWords for iOS has been developed to monitor campaign statistics and facilitate bids and budget updating. The app also provides real-time alerts and notifications, which are especially helpful for bidding on highly competitive keywords. The information is presented in an intuitive format that makes it easy for users to understand them. To offer support, Google has provides ‘Help’ documents in the app as well as the option to email or call for assistance.
