Genesys Receives Investment worth $900 Million from Hellman & Friedman at a Valuation of $3.8 Billion

Genesys, a leader in providing contact center solutions and omnichannel customer experience, has announced that an approximate investment of $900 million will be made to the company by the affiliates of a leading investment firm of private equity, Hellman & Friedman LLC. This means that the investment firm now gets a substantial stake in Genesys compared to the other present equity holders.

Genesys was valued at $3.8 billion approximately through the investment which makes it one of top-priced software companies globally. The other primary investors, Technology Crossover Ventures and Permira will still continue to be the major stakeholders in Genesys.

Paul Segre, CEO, Genesys, said in a release, “Permira has been a tremendous partner over the past four years, and Hellman & Friedman’s investment in Genesys is further validation of both our strategy and execution. This investment will help accelerate our growth.”
